An experimental study with invited sound artists, musicians, and DJ’s.
Sounding out the lane between the underbelly and the conscious, one musician
to another, a memory to the future. A question lingers through the jam: How
can the jam session be a class room?

The 4-act-journey of the Hamburger Community
In response to the realities that have been more peculiar than fiction itself,
we turned to storytelling and worldbuilding, two points of intersection
between our respective practices. Passivity/activation, artisthood as a socio-
economic class, warfare, bastardization, and future-making became the main
topics that we kept on coming back to in our conversations, experiments, and
research. This led us to creating a world that we decided to explore in a
4-act form that is our next 4 happenings. With this form we aim to tackle 2
missions; to give each act a good amount of focus, and to involve the audience
in the imagination of the next act. Imagine each acts like a choose-your-own-
adventure game into the future, where time is not a line but a multi-
directional stream of knowledge and lessons.
