Belgian metal band Amenra emerged in the early 2000s with a versatile sound rooted in the genres of doom, sludge, post-metal, and hardcore punk. The group debuted in 2003 with 'Mass I' and continued to push boundaries with acclaimed albums like 'Mass V' (2012) and 'De Doorn' (2021).

Amenra currently consists of vocalist Colin H. van Eeckhout, guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove, drummer Bjorn Lebon, guitarist Lennart Bossu, and bassist Amy Tung Barrysmith. Their latest album, "De Doorn," marked the band's break from their "Mass" series, moving from pitch-black to a lighter expression. According to the band, this album reveals Amenra's true colors, with more storytelling, more acoustic parts, and finally, in the language closest to them: Flemish.
