Anneke van Giersbergen — One of the most beautiful voices of the Netherlands.

Since the Netherlands became acquainted with Anneke van Giersbergen in the 1990s as the figurehead of The Gathering, she has established her name as one of the most versatile singers of our country. With her powerful and vulnerable vocal sound, songwriting skills and many collaborations with national and international artists, from Devin Townsend to BLØF, she has since built a successful solo career. On Wednesday 22 April she will perform at Patronaat! Will you be there? After thirteen years as the frontwoman of the melancholic metal band The Gathering, Anneke decided in 2007 to follow her own path. In addition to releasing several well-received solo albums, she also worked intensively with among others Devin Townsend and Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen.
