Film screening

The second edition of Archival Resistance, a series of screenings by Radio TNP, focuses on Sudan with Beats of the Antonov, directed by Sudanese filmmaker Hajooj Kuka.

‍Filmed over eighteen months in the Blue Nile and the Nuba Mountains, the documentary follows communities living amidst civil war, displacement, and constant bombardment. Yet, this film tells not a story of defeat, but of resilience through music. Woven into daily life, rhythm and song become a vital force for preserving memories, strengthening community, and keeping resistance alive despite loss.

‍Beats of the Antonov demonstrates how music can function as a form of resistance by creating a living archive that carries history, identity, and collective perseverance across generations.

‍The screening will be accompanied by a listening session by Razeen.

‍Join us for an evening of film, sound, and shared reflection.
