Author & Punisher returns to Patronaat on Sunday, May 3rd. Tristan Shone, machinist, composer, and brains behind the project, delivered one of the most talked-about shows of the day at Complexity Fest 2023 with his self-built machine. With his new album Nocturnal Birding, which translates bird song into melodies and patterns, he expands his sound. For the first time, he's playing with a regular guitarist, Doug Sabolick, giving the project a new, heavier dimension.

From early releases like Drone Machines and Ursus Americanus to the later breakthrough albums Women & Children, Melk En Honing and Beastland, Shone steadily built a sound that centers on heavy mechanical rhythms, distorted vocals and self-developed instruments.

Everything moves, vibrates, and pushes forward in a set where organic and machine-driven sounds collide and merge. Support comes from French band Fange , known for their extremely physical, energetic live shows, combining sludge, death metal, and industrial noise.
