Big Ass Metal Fest # 45 with DEAD HEAD + more tba

It was about time for Big Ass Metal Fest again and here's the first name, not the least because it's the oldest Dutch thrash band DEAD HEAD!!

Dead Head still features three-quarters of its original lineup. Formed in 1989 as a bunch of angry teenagers out to conquer the world, the fifty-somethings haven't lost any of their energy or passion. Their most recent albums, "Slave Driver" (2022) and "Shadow Soul" (2024), were met with rave reviews from European magazines and webzines. They were packed with Dead Head's signature elements: aggressive vocals, frantic guitar riffs, frenzied drumming, and an abundance of screeching guitar solos. But the band still plays a lot of material from their predecessors, "Haatland" (2005) and "Kill Division" (2000), during live performances. And the "demo era" of the early nineties is never forgotten live. In those pre-internet days, Dead Head distributed thousands of demo tapes worldwide via underground channels and the old-fashioned mail. Times have changed, but live, Dead Head still guarantees a good hour of fast, exhilarating, and devastating thrash metal. Raw and uninhibited, just the way fans have loved this music since the 1980s.
