“I really enjoyed the freedom of the theatre , where I could share funny and sometimes painful anecdotes and stories in addition to singing and acting. It was not only exciting for me, but I also noticed that the audience experienced this intimacy as exciting. And that people often spontaneously sang along to some songs is just beautiful.”

In May 2024, Blaudzun made his solo theater debut with a series of intimate try-out shows. During these performances, he took the time to explain his songs, giving fans the opportunity to get to know Blaudzun on a more personal and deeper level. His disarming, cheerful and personal stories were alternated with music from his rich repertoire.

In 2026, Blaudzun returns to the theater with a new show. A show in which the singer gives a personal insight into his unique universe. Or as he describes it himself: “a universe of devilish music, shoelace-tying diplomas, religious traumas – whether or not processed – and a passion for cycling and love.”

Shortly before the start of the theatre tour in 2026, a biography about Blaudzun will be published, written by Ronald Giphart. The Utrecht writer and novelist follows Blaudzun at his own request during the making of his latest album and the subsequent tours. In addition, Giphart delves into Blaudzun's youth and examines his musical career to date.
