Bob Log III, who goes through life in his blue, tight-fitting Canonball suit and a face shield with a headset microphone, is one of the best, fastest, and most eccentric American Delta Blues slide guitarists of the moment.
Bob Log III was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. He moved to Tucson, Arizona, and now lives in Melbourne, Australia.
“Grab a guitar, turn up the volume, and you’re having fun.” In the early 90s, together with Thermos Malling, he founded the incredible band Doo Rag, which shaped the entire blues-'punk' or even Tekkno scene of that time. The band split up, and Bob Log (born Robert Reynolds III) continued solo as a one-man band, touring the world: North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, Mexico, and Iceland.

He acquired a bass drum and a homemade foot cymbal, which he custom-fitted with his own bass pedal. These instruments, combined with his slide guitar playing, distorted vocals via a telephone microphone, and the accompaniment of a Boom-Chik-a-Boom drum machine, form the framework upon which Bob Log constructs his songs. Log describes his stage setup in the song “One Man Band Boom” and introduces himself to the audience as: “Bob Log the third, one-man band, Tucson, Arizona. Heyeeeh! Let me just introduce the band. On the cymbals, left foot. Here on the bass drum we have right foot. Shut your mouth! This is my left hand doing all the slide work, my right hand plucks. My mouth does most of the talking. And you guys watch my finger.”
