American yacht rock / soft rock singer and guitarist. The American singer/guitarist Christopher Cross is one of the greats in what we now call 'yacht rock', but which used to be simply called soft rock. Cross broke through immediately in 1980 with his self-titled debut album (with the flamingo on the cover), from which big hits came such as 'Ride Like The Wind' and 'Sailing'. Productional perfection combined with super-melodic, sensitive songs has been the hallmark of the modest Cross throughout his career, who in the eighties also scored with 'Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)' and 'All Right'. A delightful trip down memory lane!
