After a successful show in 2024, the instrumental indie trio returns to Paradiso this spring. Cocobolo has always had a soft spot for the raw energy of the classic '60s surf sound. That mix of reverberating guitars, open drums, and raw drive forms the backbone of Cocobolo's signature sound.

To honor those roots, they will release their new EP, "Shooting From the Hip," in the spring of 2026. Five instrumental tracks echo the surf and western sounds of the sixties, rattling, ragged, and full of movement. Exactly 65 years after the release of Dick Dale's "Let's Go Trippin'," which
is often considered the birth of surf music.
