American funk/jazz guitarist Cory Wong is a musical talent of Prince-like proportions. Besides his skills, he shares his insatiable work ethic with the purple genius: Wong was/is affiliated with the bands Vulfpeck and Fearless Flyers, but has also released a whopping fifteen solo albums. His latest album, Starship Syncopation (2024), was created in collaboration with the Metropole Orchestra, with whom he has performed live before. "I've never seen an orchestra so versatile in playing both classical and groove-based music," says Wong. Expect two groundbreaking evenings!
