Daan Kluwer | The Life of Billy

With his expressive sound, lyrical improvisations and narrative compositions, saxophonist, composer and bandleader Daan Kluwer (Utrecht, 1998) is one of the promises of the Dutch music scene. Explosive, surreal, compelling: The Life of Billy takes you to a world that feels both futuristic and unsettlingly close. Inspired by the ominous visions of George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut, their music sounds like a dystopian harbinger of what awaits us. From dreamy synths to relentless drum-'n'-bass grooves: their instrumental music speaks without words—raw and urgent. Indie-jazz, krautrock, electronica. Inspired by Radiohead, Boards of Canada, Talking Heads.

Line-up:
Saxophone – Daan Kluwer
