Born and raised in Glasgow, the multi-talented Daniel Docherty originated on the streets. Many of his songs were improvised while busking—playing in parks, on the streets, and in shopping malls. He's a singer-songwriter, a gifted fingerpicker, and a true guitar virtuoso with a keen eye for pop music. He effortlessly transforms his acoustic guitar-based songs into multi-layered compositions that instantly resonate. The [PIAS] label discovered him during ESNS 2016 and immediately recognized his potential. After several club shows in the Netherlands and a sold-out Carré, Daniel is releasing his first self-produced music this year. He'll be bringing that music to EKKO this fall to begin a new chapter, where he once again showcases his talent as a fully-fledged artist.
