UJazz , ZenneZ records , and TivoliVredenburg are jointly organizing the New Jazz series at Muziekhuis Utrecht, featuring presentations of new albums. On Friday, May 1, with the Davids Eglitis Quartet and the album Reflections of Becoming .

Dāvids Eglītis (2000) is a Latvian drummer and composer. He graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague under the tutelage of Eric Ineke. He has played with, among others, Jasper Blom, Ella Zīriņa, Tom van der Zaal, Claudio Jr De Rosa, and Wolfert Brederode. Now comes his debut album, Reflections of Becoming, a seven-part suite in which Iglitis explores the concept of time in all its facets, coupled with his personal story of growth, heartbreak, and finding oneself. The music combines modern sounds and alternates energetic pieces with quiet, emotional moments.
