The American standard-bearers of modern psychedelic rock, Dead Meadow, have reached their tenth studio record in their 25-year existence with their new album, Voyager To Voyager. We have had the pleasure of welcoming the trio to the old dB's on several occasions in the past, but this time is different, as Dead Meadow has suffered a significant setback with the passing of co-founder and bassist Steve Kille. And although their old bandmate still contributed to Voyager to Voyager, it seems as though recent events have given the songs an even more intense character.

Even without Steve, 𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗪 continues their musical journey of discovery with the distinctive sound that has defined them for decades. Their music is a compelling mix of heavy, fuzz-drenched guitar riffs and dreamy, sprawling—sometimes even jazzy—melodies. They combine the atmosphere of early hard rock with the freedom of sixties psychedelia and pop. Voyager To Voyager is a layered listening experience full of love and sorrow, deeply rooted in the tradition of one of the best bands in the genre. A fitting tribute to and featuring Steve Kille, and once again an outstanding record.

Live, we once again expect nothing less than a musical deep space trip where 70s hard rock goes hand in hand with chill psychedelia, a rock-solid rhythm section, and hypnotic jams. Add the trippy visuals to that, and your musical space journey can begin. FFO Black Mountain, Sleepy Sun, All Them Witches, and Black Sabbath.
