DEADLETTER
Originally from Yorkshire, now firmly rooted in South London, DEADLETTER forges the dry anger of The Fall and the warped rhythms of LCD Soundsystem into a rhythmic form of post-punk. With their debut EP, 'Heat!', they already demonstrated they're more than just an energetic festival act, and their debut album, 'Hysterical Strength,' continues that tradition. The album is full of droning guitars, heavy basslines, rhythmic drums, and plaintive saxophone, with vocals and a funky undertone reminiscent of Talking Heads and Gang of Four. DEADLETTER themselves refuse to be pigeonholed. "The post-punk movement is long gone," says frontman Zac. "We want to create something new, something you could maybe call art-punk, although that sounds far too pretentious." So Young Magazine hailed them as "one of the most exciting bands coming out of London," and DIY calls the band "one of the most exciting acts around."
With their second album, "Existence Is Bliss," due out in February 2026, DEADLETTER is taking a new step. The album explores themes of human existence, making choices, and life's challenges. To celebrate the album's release, the band will tour the UK and Europe, including a stop at Paradiso in March.
