deary

With their debut album, Birding, London dream-pop trio deary consciously evolved their sound, opting for sharper lyrics and heavier instrumentation than on their previous releases. They chose the title to draw attention to the direct impact humans have on the world around us, whether that's nature or ourselves. Despite some of the heavy subject matter, the album is meant to give the listener a moment to pause, reflect, recalibrate, and remind themselves of all the good, happiness, and love that can easily be forgotten in everyday life. The importance of protecting the inner child or someone more vulnerable, holding hands, and learning from past mistakes. Spread across 11 tracks that cover the full spectrum from ocean-deep shoegaze riffs to cloud-like sprinkles of ethereal indie, Birding is the sound of a band that has definitively found their groove.

Resplandor

Resplandor is a Netherlands-based shoegaze band whose sound combines ethereal, lush guitars and heavenly, soaring vocals with elements of post-punk and post-rock. The band has built a reputation for captivating live performances and a strong international presence, having shared stages with acts such as The Cure, Slowdive, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Resplandor opened with Tristeza for The Cure's Shows of a Lost World tour in South America and has toured extensively throughout Europe, South America, and North America over the years. A year ago, Resplandor kicked off their European Tristeza Tour with sold-out shows in Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin, followed by shows throughout Europe and a standout performance at Wave Gotik Treffen, before closing out the year in Malmö and Copenhagen.
