Since their international breakthrough in 1994, dEUS has been considered one of the biggest and most respected bands in Belgium. The art rock band around singer/guitarist and frontman Tom Barman has been surprising music lovers worldwide for over 30 years with their idiosyncratic song structures, genre-transcending cross-connections, and musical hopscotch. At Slot Zeist Live, dEUS celebrates the anniversaries of their first two albums Worst Case Scenario (1994) and In A Bar, Under The Sea (1996), albums that permanently changed the lives of the band and their fans. During this special concert, dEUS presents a one-time, carefully curated set with only songs from both albums, focusing on the energy and urgency of their early years—not as a nostalgic look back, but as a revival of music that remains urgent and relevant. Special guest: Hiqpy The Dutch indie band Hiqpy makes fuzzy guitar rock with shoegaze influences and poppy melodies—think Wolf Alice with a touch of Smashing Pumpkins. The voice and charisma of frontwoman Abir Hamam are the first to stand out, immediately followed by the subtle layering of the music—it often seems as if six people are playing instead of four.
