SITP at Impro Jazzcafé
On Tuesday, 26 May, SITP joins the weekly Jazz Improcafé at Zaal 100 for an evening with two improvised music projects:

Folk Music Trio
Nate Wooley | Chris Corsano | Ches Smith
+
Jorrit Dijkstra | Ada Rave | Guus Janssen | Raoul van der Weide

Tickets: 5-10€ at the door

After years of conceptual and compositional projects, trumpet player Nate Wooley put together a trio dedicated simply to free music without boundaries. In this trio he works together with two well-known names in the experimental jazz scene: Chris Corsano and Ches Smith.

The name ‘Fok Music’ stems from the idea of making something from scratch using the full life-experience and creativity of the musicians, a story that changes with each re-telling, that progresses each time the musicians come together to tell it again. It is music as legend or myth. Folk songs, strange, but true.

Nate Wooley – trumpet, amplifier | Chris Corsano – drums, clarinet, feedback | Ches Smith drums, sampler, electronics, percussion

JORRIT DIJKSTRA / ADA RAVE / GUUS JANSSEN / RAOUL VAN DER WEIDE
For the first set of the evening, Jorrit Dijkstra (sax / electronics) invites improvising musicians from the Amsterdam scene: Ada Rave (sax), Guus Janssen (piano) and Raoul van der Weide (bass).
