Doctors without Borders fundraiser
junebug + babygurl + rover onslow + liberty & birds with jobs

During this concert money is raised for Doctors without Borders, an organization that provides medical aid worldwide to people in crisis situations. Their teams are ready for victims of conflicts, natural disasters and disease outbreaks, so that they can receive the necessary care when it is needed most.

Junebug
Junebug started as a musical duo that processes the daily hassles of a twenty-something in dreamy, tender folk songs. Their music seeks the perfect balance between the bleak reality of life and the romance in the small things.

Babygurl
Babygurl translates the life of a trans woman into vulnerable folk music. The hope and the emptiness, the love and the loneliness; by giving it a name, songwriter Dorus Funnekotter makes it tangible. Her raw and often bittersweet songs touch you deep in the heart and leave the listener with a haunting emotion. Dorus' complex guitar parts and dreamy vocals ensure intimate performances. In addition to her solo set she also works with a band. By adding only drums and bass, she gives the music more weight without losing the pure honesty of the songs.

Liberty & Birds With Jobs
You move through a busy world full of people and stimuli. At some point it feels like too much, so you slip away, down a set of stairs, down a corridor, until you find a small door. Inside it is warm and quiet, with a soft scent of flowers and golden light. Peace. That room, those are Liberty's songs; and the band consists of gentle people you like to have around you.
Liberty was previously the singer and songwriter of the psychedelic folk band Chrysalis. Her new project retains that dream logic: soft, layered and surreal; like an egg yolk, or a surprisingly beautiful public toilet.

Rover Onslow (solo)
Rover Onslow is a hopeless romantic who looks for love in the rough alleys of Amsterdam, and you hear that search reflected in his enchanting music, from jazzy folk and orchestral 70's pop to raw alt-rock. Since 2021 he has written and played in the Amsterdam artrock band Chrysalis, which among others played in Paradiso twice.
Now Rover chooses a solo path; his ego is simply too big to share the stage. Live he is accompanied by harmonious girlfriends and loyal brass players, who together create a theatrical rollercoaster: dance until your shoes wear out, cry from emotion, and melodies that you will never let go.
