Don Melody Club
Support: Tienson
For fans of: Bryan Ferry, Doe Maar, Talking Heads

Originally conceived as a home-recording solo project by Donald Madjid (Mauskovisch Dance Band), Don Melody Club has grown into an immersive five-piece live band. Musically, this evolution has resulted in Dutch-language synthpop and wave, richly infused with ’80s influences. In their warm, intimate approach, infectious pop hooks and danceable beats seamlessly intertwine with contemplative ballads.

Their upcoming second album, Klassiek Gedonder, unfolds an unpolished heartbreak narrative, marked by an unexpected twist in the creative process. On the beach, Madjid met rapper Bon Doogie, sparking a fruitful collaboration that shaped the record. Using a carefully curated arsenal of analog synthesizers and drawing inspiration from both classic ’80s wave and ’90s hip-hop, the band has crafted a sound that is warm, raw, and refreshingly original.

With a warm voice, whispering ad-libs, and a relaxed delivery, Tienson invites you into his world. Over laid-back beats, catchy lyrics, and a seamless blend of rap and singing, he captures the essence of summer love, even in the middle of winter.
