No one can make Dutch pop music as exciting and mysterious as Eefje de Visser . On October 10th, Vlijmscherp will be released , along with her previous album Heimwee (2024), in a special double edition. For Heimwee, the follow-up to the acclaimed Bitterzoet (2020), Eefje received both an Edison Award and a Belgian MIA.

Together with Heimwee, Vlijmscherp forms an impressive diptych: energetic, dark, warm, dynamic, and colorful. Electronic drums and wrenching harmonies merge into a record full of drive, menace, and hope. Together, the two albums create a magical realism universe, in which De Visser continually searches for light in the darkness, stability in alienation, and strength in fragility.
