Emir Cello (Alfian Emir Adytia) is a progressive Indonesian cellist known for his exciting blend of classical music, rock, metal, and Indonesian folk music. Emir has been called the "Jimi Hendrix of the cello" and a "vanguard of a new Indonesian wave." His music is both sonically daring and socially charged. His latest project, Decolmuseum, reimagines colonial narratives through sound, weaving his Javanese and Minangkabau roots with Western influences. Along with Turkish bassist Kaan Yazici and Dutch drummer Sander van Elferen, this power trio delivers a captivating live set that fuses memory and resilience.
