Concert about what it means to be Indo-Dutch

During her trip to Indonesia this summer, singer and musician Desirée Coumans discovered that the country where her father was born no longer exists, except in memories and stories. If you look beyond the hustle and chaos of life in Java, you occasionally see glimpses of the past. The past that was never spoken of at home. By delving into traditional Indonesian gamelan music and combining it with her Western background as a pop musician, she creates a unique sound that represents her own mixed heritage.
