On Sunday 19 April, FRED TABOIS would have turned 65 – had he not passed away suddenly on 31 October 2019. FRED was a phenomenon in the worlds of music and film. Sound engineer, set dresser, art director and a thousand other things. It is no coincidence that his one-man business was called Duizendpoot Producties (Jack-of-all-trades Productions). No lies there.

Blue Murder, Claw Boys Claw, New Holland, 2Unlimited, Rusty Apollo, De Raggende Manne, LUL, No Honey From These, Plastic Cocon, S.M. Nurse and eM are just a few of the countless bands for whom FRED handled the sound.

For Eton Crop, It Dockumer Lokaeltsje, Kraaijeveld and Nasmak, he carried out inimitable studio and audio restoration work. As the singer of De Basic Tirolers, FRED brought his inner stage animal to life. On the sets of films such as Boy Ecury, Grimm, Vox populi, Kristen and Alberta, he was a set dresser, art director and all-round fixer.

On Sunday 19 April, the day he would have turned 65, we honour this much-loved jack-of-all-trades with the FREDFEST Ein bunte Abend mit Rock und Roll & other surprises!
