The aim of this evening is to raise awareness and collect funds for Lebanon. In times of war and hardship, creating moments of connection becomes all the more important. We welcome Bliss, a shoegaze/grunge band from Beirut. Alongside them, local artists will perform, ranging from experimental indie-folk to emo-shoegaze. All acts touch upon themes such as adversity, struggle, and ultimately perseverance. The full proceeds of this evening will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross and Haven for Artists, a grassroots organization from Beirut that supports marginalized artists working at the intersection of feminism, gender and racial justice, and decolonial practices.

Bliss
‍Bliss, founded in 2024, is a Beirut-born grunge band shaping sound in the heart of Lebanon's alternative underground scene. Their dreamy guitars and soft melodies, combined with heavy drumming, result in a mix of shoegaze, indie, and alternative influences.

‍The band consists of three Beirut-based artists: Julie Abou Kasm (bass, vocals), Rebal Abu Fadel (guitar), and Andrew Kareh (drums). Bliss has grown into a defining voice within the city's reviving indie/alternative movement. Emerging from years of crisis, collapse, and silence, their presence has ignited a new sense of energy and escape for a generation that grew up with both the beauty and the ruins of Beirut.

Garden Walk
‍Garden Walk is an international emo-shoegaze band with sad yet catchy songs shaped by themes such as war, immigration, mental health, and heartbreak. By combining emo songwriting with shoegaze textures, the band moves between vulnerability and sound, effortlessly switching between quiet, personal moments and heavier, more immersive soundscapes.

Brigadera
‍Swinging between a punk ethos and genuine refinement, the unprecedented sound of BRIGADERA is making itself heard increasingly within the international creative music scene. The duo Beatrice Sberna and Gabriel de Oliveira describe their music as improvisational songwriting: influenced by Italian cantautori, Brazilian folk traditions, avant-garde jazz, and contemporary pop sensibilities.

Hainesii
‍Hainesii is a project by Max van Westerop (composer, guitarist, producer) in which themes such as mortality, care, and the heart are explored, inspired by genres such as ambient, post-rock, and influences from free/spiritual jazz. At its core, Hainesii's material consists of songwriting viewed through the lens of these styles and genres.

‍Hainesii is currently working on a debut LP that combines live recordings with meticulously crafted studio productions. The album explores themes such as illness, family, suicide, spirituality, and injustice.

DONATIONS

The entire proceeds will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross and Haven for Artists. As hostilities escalate and more and more people become displaced, the Lebanese Red Cross continues to provide ambulance services, blood supply, healthcare, and emergency relief to people affected by the situation across the country. Haven for Artists (HFA) is a cultural-feminist organization based in Beirut, Lebanon. At the intersection of art and activism, Haven functions as a physical and digital platform supporting cultural projects and knowledge production rooted in intersectional feminism, gender and racial justice, and decolonial practices.
