American indie rock band Garbage broke through in the mid-1990s with a powerful debut album and the accompanying hits "Queer," "Stupid Girl," and "Only Happy When It Rains." With their well-crafted rock songs, charismatic frontwoman (Shirley Manson), and subtle electronic arrangements, Garbage was the right band at the right time. Since their hiatus from 2005 to 2012, the quartet (still in its original lineup) has released four albums – their latest, "Let All That We Imagine Be The Light" (2025), is a remarkably hopeful work in these dark times!
