Jazz, Lounge

After a four-year hiatus, Gare du Nord returns to the stage in 2026 for one time only to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary. That's why they will be at Patronaat on Friday, March 6! Gare du Nord started twenty-five years ago as lounge pioneers with the cult hit Pablo’s Blues and the gold-certified album (In Search Of) Excellounge. Due to the unique international sound, the band was the first in the Netherlands to sign a record deal with the iconic New York jazz label Blue Note Records. The band broke through to a wider audience with the album Sex ‘n’ Jazz, which also features Marvin Gaye and Paul Carrack. Sex ‘n’ Jazz remained in the Album Top 100 for 98 weeks, was awarded triple platinum, and to this day is the best-selling Dutch jazz album of all time. On stage, Gare du Nord has grown into a sparkling live band over the years, guaranteeing sold-out shows. After saying goodbye to the Dutch audience in 2022, the band now returns to the stage for a one-time celebration of their 25th anniversary with fans. Specially for this tour, the full live band includes their own “queen of soul” Leona Philippo, ensuring hits like You're My Medicine, Marvin & Miles, and Beautiful Day have even more soul than before. Expect timeless soul classics, funky jazz grooves, and the spectacular finale We Still Grow. Line up: Aron Raams: guitars, vocals Marc Schenk: drums Leona Philippo: lead vocals Ferry Lagendijk: keys Sven Happel: bass Miguel Boelens: sax
