Soul

GeeJay is the soulful duo of Gee (singer and songwriter) and Jay (producer and multi-instrumentalist), who met while working as baristas in a music café in Harringay, London. Their spontaneous jam sessions on the café's old piano quickly grew into a unique musical collaboration.

They have independently released two EPs and their debut album What’s the Sun Without the Rain?, good for more than 40 million streams and receiving praise from among others The Guardian, Fearne Cotton, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and CLASH. Their new single ‘Young Girl’, taken from the upcoming album that will be released in February 2026, attracted attention from Trevor Nelson (BBC Radio 2), DJ Spoony (Radio 2), Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1 Future Artists) and Robert Elms (BBC Radio London), firmly establishing GeeJay as artists to watch.

Since those first jam sessions GeeJay has grown into a live act known for their infectious energy and unmistakable chemistry. Recently they sold out the iconic Jazz Cafe in London, confirming their status as an absolute must-see. On stage Gee’s powerful, emotional voice brings raw, soulful stories about growth, resilience and vulnerability, while Jay’s virtuosic piano playing lays a solid foundation with groove and jazz influences. Their mutual connection touches the audience at every performance.

GeeJay's upcoming album, which will be released in 2026, promises to further deepen their distinctive sound with refined production and the addition of a lush string quartet, adding new layers to their soulful music.
