Gladde Paling’s ONDERWATERWERELD

Happy hardcore for ADHDers, meme-techno, troll 'n bass... however you describe the hyperactive sound of De Gladde Paling, it made him one of the hottest genre-bending DJ/producers of recent years. On 14 February he will overstimulate De Helling with his new ONDERWATERWERELD show.

Somewhere mid-pandemic the techno scene was flooded by a new wave of producers: genre-bending, very hard and above all fucking weird. Obscure guys with names like Natte Visstick, Dikke Baap and Vieze Vaatdoek. The slimiest of the bunch is called Gladde Paling — a mysterious ICT-dropout who bombarded the world from his bedroom with razor-hard kicks, blaring horns, breakbeats, soundbites and other nonsense. The bedroom days are long gone. The Paling set sail for America, Italy, Spain and the UK. From his own VISSA’s to the pumping crowds of Nameless Festival, Sziget and Balter. No one can ignore him anymore: this slippery rascal is unstoppable.

In 2026 his new album ONDERWATERWERELD will appear, an experimental fever dream on which the word 'palingsound' gets a new definition. What exactly it sounds like? "We won't reveal that yet xo." But expect again an overdose of mischief and hard beats that make De Helling surge like a wild ocean.
