Dutch bluesman with thirty albums to his name

The Dutch bluesman Hans Theessink is playing tonight in our small Club Nine, but he is a big name in the international blues world. Theessink has been on the road for fifty years, after catching the blues bug in the mid-1960s through artists such as Big Bill Broonzy, Leadbelly and Brownie McGhee. He has now recorded about thirty albums and has played at all the major blues and folk festivals around the world. Bo Diddley called him 'one helluva guitar player', but Theessink is still modest as can be. Dive deep into the blues with this charismatic veteran!
