HE:LEEN Play – John Lewis & Zedyé
Monthly musical collaboration with restaurant LE:EN

John-Lewis
Folk with a hard "F" — John-Lewis plays cheerful Dutch songs about life's sorrows on his guitar. On stage, he's uninhibited and completely in touch with his audience, as if they were together in a pub. At the same time, this conviviality clashes with his sad lyrics. John-Lewis sings about love, everyday pain, and the times he's had one too many. His music is a personal outlet that resonates with the zeitgeist.

Zedyé.
On stage in her socks, Zedyé demonstrates what it's like to want to land—not just in your own body, but also in the gaze of another. Without shoes, she stands firm, just like the music: juicy grooves, warm vocals, and an expressive presence define this artist. Along with her band, she moves between alternative R&B, soul, hip-hop, and jazz. Zedyé draws inspiration from artists like Noname, Jorja Smith, Mac Miller, and Celeste. In November 2025, she released her debut EP, "Yikes."
