HighSchool from Melbourne consists of Rory Trobbiani and Luke Scott. With their six-track debut EP 'Forever at Last' they attracted attention as a new band with a fresh take on classic lo-fi, new wave, goth and postpunk. Then followed a period in London, where they gained experience in the live scene and meanwhile released the singles 'Only a Dream' and the Italo-disco-like 'Colt'. After signing with PIAS their second EP appeared, on which a darker sound can be heard. With that they are now mentioned alongside names like Bar Italia and Julie. The duo closed that first chapter with a successful tour through the United Kingdom as support for Wunderhorse. Their self-titled debut album is a lively soundtrack about growing up, which plays on the band's name as a core theme and brings together postpunk, slowcore and alternative revivalism in twelve personal stories.
