Post-punk, Indie, Rock

Scottish Humour formed during the 2021 lockdowns in Glasgow, when the band members began writing and recording from home. Their music provides a raw, compelling backdrop to frontman Andreas's lyrics, sometimes wry and dryly comic, sometimes moving in their simplicity. The songs balance somewhere between post-punk and indie rock, with sharp observations on guilt, loss, and the inability to say anything meaningful when the words fail.

‍After their debut release, "Yeah, Mud!" , Humour quickly made an impression with their uncompromising sound and direct style, earning them praise from the likes of NME, Clash, and BBC Radio. With the EPs "Pure Misery" and "A Small Crowd Gathered to Watch Me," the band established themselves as one of the most exciting new acts from Scotland, with energetic live performances across the UK, Europe, and even at SXSW in Austin. Humour is currently in the studio working on new material with Rod Jones of Idlewild, a next step for a band that effortlessly interweaves melancholy and humor.
