In Dub Sessions traces a line from Kingston's soundsystem culture and the studios of the late 1960s through to the dancefloors of today; a recognition that much of modern electronic music's bass-led, spatial vocabulary owes a deep debt to Jamaican mixing tradition. Eight Saturdays this summer at Tolhuistuin, Stacks invites Amsterdam's most committed selectors to play across the full breadth of that sound: roots and lovers rock through dub techno, ambient dub, leftfield disco and beyond. Stacks' homestyle cooking, a summer garden, and a programme built for listening.

"Reggae composers have created a sense of dimension in the music, by very clever, unconventional use of echo, by leaving out instruments, and by the very open rhythmic structure of the music." — Brian Eno

Saturday the 11th of July it is LNR who will take place behind the decks.
