An evening where artists with strong artistic identities weave a spiderweb of sounds, stories, improvisation, and experimentation, driven by a belief in a new underground. Different worlds collide, creating space for voices you don't often hear. Dreamy, raw, jazzy, provocative, theatrical — ending in wild dance.
You might be surprised.
Lail & Lomar
The Berlin-based duo Lail & Lomar, formed by two composers, singers, and multi-instrumentalists, creates songs at the intersection of indie, jazz, and Brazilian music. By combining carefully arranged compositions with raw, personal stories, they create an unmistakable and innovative sound. Driven by a mission to amplify FLINTA* voices in the music industry, Lail & Lomar continue to push creative boundaries. Their songwriting explores the highs and lows of early adulthood — falling in love, navigating past relationships, and dealing with the chaos of modern life.
For this concert, they are joined by Matilde Squillante on bass, Sara Guidolin on cello, and Branko Valchev on drums.
Beatrice Sberna
With a background in jazz, Beatrice Sberna moves effortlessly through genres, from canzone italiana to noise. Awkward, tender, sharp, ironic, unsettling — her performances span a broad emotional spectrum. She pushes her own boundaries and addresses the audience directly.
She performs with Tanine Kian (piano), Aniol Torrents (bass) and Ludvig Søndergaard (drums).
As part of the Ververs Residency, she presents new material she is currently developing, in which she further explores her sense of narrative and the balance between songs and improvisation, inspired by stories of love and hate for the people she encounters.
Mundu Lawaai
Mundu Lawaai seeks the sound of a global generation in electric songbeats that combine layered drums, live dub, and rap. As a distinctly urban club band, their urgent sound reflects a need for collective improvisation in the light of postcoloniality and mass media consumption, in a reality where even baile funk and Balinese gamelan do not escape virtual dialogue.
After their debut at Minimal Music Festival 2026, they promise to return in their most intense form to date, once again sampling at the intersection of 2020s dance music and centuries-old 'folk' forms.
