De Helling and TivoliVredenburg present: IOTUNN. A merciless prog metal band hailing from the bleak edge of the world: the Faroe Islands.

Singer Jón Aldará and his rugged mates combine extreme metal with prog and ancient legends. Not only does their music exude a primal force, but their lyrics also unfold in prehistoric settings. Their latest album, Kinship, tells the story of a tribesman in prehistoric times, exploring contradictions that remain relevant today: nature and culture, good and evil, body and mind.

True Utrecht metalheads will certainly know IOTUNN from their show at TivoliVredenburg, where the band opened for Dark Tranquillity. They proved they were ready for a headline spot there. On April 24th, IOTUNN will be steamrolling De Helling, so channel your inner caveman and jump into that mosh pit.

And IOTUNN isn't coming alone. Specially for this tour, they're bringing along In Vain. These prog metal veterans from Norway have been considered absolute heavyweights in the genre for over twenty years. And with their extreme, versatile, and melodic sound, they're here to prove it once again.

Support act Nephylym is a melodic metal band from 's-Hertogenbosch, but judging by their sound (and ferocious appearance), they could easily hail from the far north. This band is named after a mythical giant from biblical stories, and rightly so. Their devastating riffs are both mythical and gigantic, crushing everything in their path.
