Money and the Man (NL):
After years of playing the Netherlands flat as Overijssel's hardest Rock ‘n Roll duo, Money & The Man now add a notch as a power trio. Like a Hendrix Experience “on Steroids” Money & the Man rush at you and the heavy riffs, danceable grooves and screeching solos fly around your ears! The band has shared the stage with Wolfmother, Gene Simmons, Ramkot and DeWolff and has played e.g. at Paaspop, Zwarte Cross, Dauwpop, Sniester, Mañana Mañana and many more. Money & The Man’s show can be described as a ticking time bomb, where everything can be climbed, demolished and above all ROCKED. Touches of All Them Witches, Hendrix, Black Keys and a guaranteed success for everyone who likes guitar, fuzz and partying. Last September their new album ‘MAMMON’ was released, and to celebrate that they would come to play in Slachthuis last October. Unfortunately that did not happen, so we try it again on 23 May!
With a renewed band lineup and an even more powerful sound, the Zwolle band takes a heavier path. MAMMON bubbles with energy, riffs, intensity and… a bass guitar! After 10 years Money & the Man a new era begins and MAMMON is the rebirth of Money & The Man as a trio!
IRON JINN (NL):
Iron Jinn is a supergroup – yes, we used the S-word – from the Dutch underground scene, with members from among others The Devil’s Blood, Shaking Godspeed, Birth of Joy and Pauw. Their debut album appeared in 2023 on Stickman Records and was praised by among others OOR, Rockhard and Visions, who described Iron Jinn's sound as “ethereal psychedelia full of inspiration and alienation”. The release was celebrated at Roadburn Festival, after which performances followed at Desertfest (London), Sonic Whip and a European tour with Blackwater Holylight.
The band around guitarists and songwriters Oeds Beydals and Wout Kemkens makes music that follows dream logic; chaotic, intense and hypnotizing. Their live shows are immersive experiences full of bewitching grooves and layered vocals. Iron Jinn has already played with Alain Johannes (QOTSA) and De Staat, and recently released a live album of their show at Roadburn. Expect a fiery show from a band that challenges the boundaries of heavy rock.
