Jerron Paxton
Sunday, May 3, 2026

Jerron Paxton grew up in Los Angeles, often with his ear to the radio, eagerly absorbing the nuances and history of traditional Black American music that connects him to his ancestral roots in the South. As a songwriter, heir to tradition, and walking, talking jukebox, Paxton approaches his craft with equal parts humor and reverence, with a knack for joking and witty remarks.

Things Done Changed is an album of original songs that sound as if they were recorded almost a century ago, when jazz and blues were played as a means of both personal and cultural survival. Lick by lick, Paxton builds a bridge between past and future generations, singing of the sorrows and joys of the past and present.
