Amsterdam native Randall Felter, better known as kans, creates warm, emotional R&B influenced by hip-hop, trap, and his Surinamese roots. His first two albums, "de deze eenzaamheid laat mij niet alleen" (2020) and "hennessy & beckies" (2022), explore love, ego, and loneliness in a digital age. This introduced the general public to his almost dystopian love universe, where social media, alcohol, and inner conflict play a major role. Both projects were positively reviewed by publications including Complex, 3voor12, NRC, and Het Parool.

In 2024, Kan signed with Noah's Ark. Inspired by the "sexy drill" movement in New York, he released the tracks "Bday Beckies" and "Constant Mo" that year, which eventually became the lead singles from his album "Deims Deims Deims," ​​released in October 2025. On this project, Kan further developed his sound with melodic R&B, drill-inspired percussion and beats, and original sample choices.
