KEGELFEST is the grand finale of Floris Kegel's john-put-his-dog-down tour. There will be a host of fantastic bands and a DJ! The mini-festival has inclusivity as its theme. Everyone is therefore welcome at the party of outsiders, where we celebrate being different.
Floris Kegel has really gotten a taste for it. In the previous year, he played a lot in Amsterdam as a drummer with his band Silicå.
In recent years, two albums and an EP have been released from his solo project. After the release of his latest album, *john put his dog down*, he felt it was really time to perform his music live. He had already made several attempts to put a band together in recent years, but now, studying at the Herman Brood Academy, he was finally able to find musicians who were interested.
He immediately started emailing venues, and after a few weeks, he had put together a tour lineup. The only way to properly wrap up a tour is with a big party with many fellow musicians, friends, fans, and family.
That is how KEGELFEST came into being, and perhaps this wonderful party will lead to a KEGELFEST2, 3, 4, etc., etc.
