Utrecht's biggest rock band plays smallest show in years to celebrate EKKO's anniversary
On July 17, 2010, Kensington presented their debut album 'Borders' at EKKO. "If you'd told us a few years ago that we'd sell out EKKO, I wouldn't have believed you," said singer/guitarist Casper Starreveld at the time. But of course, much more followed in the years that followed, including an impressive run of shows at the Ziggo Dome, a concert at the Johan Cruijff Arena, numerous 3FM Awards, the Popprijs, and an Edison Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2025, the band found their dream new frontman in Jason Dowd, whose voice is heard in all its glory on last year's album 'First Rodeo'. Now, Kensington is returning to where it all began, playing their smallest show in years, especially for EKKO's 40th anniversary. So, on February 11, 2026, you have the unique opportunity to see Utrecht's biggest rock band in our never-seen-before venue at Bemuurde Weerd.
