Kevin Morby is an American artist from Texas known for his literary lyrics and spare, poetic approach to indie folk and lo-fi rock. Before going solo, he played bass with the bands Woods and The Babies. In 2013, he debuted with "Harlem River," an album that immediately established him as an introspective storyteller with a keen eye for place and character.

In the years that followed, Morby built an impressive oeuvre with albums like "Saw," "City Music," and "This Is a Photograph," exploring themes of spirituality, urban life, and personal vulnerability. His music balances between understated folk and raw rock, often driven by simple guitar lines and a characteristic, semi-spoken vocal style. Morby regularly collaborates with other artists from the Americana scene (such as Waxahatchee and Erin Rae) and is praised for his ability to transform everyday observations into timeless, almost mythical songs.

On May 15, his eighth album 'Little Wide Open' will be released.
