Raised in a theater family and immersed in plays, operas, and musicals from a young age, you’d expect nothing less. Her musicality defies categorization, seamlessly blending neo-soul, folk, R&B, and jazz in her compositions. Whether she’s performing at Paard, De Doelen, Merleyn, TivoliVredenburg, or our very own Paradiso — venues where she has already left her mark — she shines. Through collaborations with the likes of Gregory Porter, Teddy Swims, Robin Thicke, Shirma Rouse, Ernst Daniël Smid, and the Metropole Orkest, her work spans from dreamy ballads to rhythmic tracks. For this concert at Tolhuistuin, Koosje will be joined by one of her long-time collaborators, João Erbetta.

João Erbetta is a Brazilian globetrotter guitarist and composer with an extensive career. He has released solo albums and film soundtracks and has worked with artists such as Roberta Campos, João Donato, Domenico Lancellotti, Adam Levy, and Koosje, to name just a few. Based in São Paulo, he frequently tours the Netherlands.
