La Sécurité is coming to Rotterdam! Expect French-language, danceable art punk with clear influences from post-punk and nu-disco on Thursday, May 28th at Rotown. Their debut album, Stay Safe!, was well-received in their Montreal, Canada, scene and opened the door to a world of international performances (SXSW, End of the Road, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn). On the upcoming Bingo!, the band will explore the edges of their art punk sound even further, combining it with forays into new wave and krautrock.
Name: La Sécurité Tag: danceable art punk, angular post punk, nu disco, lots of percussion, sharp guitars, driving basslines Song tip: Ketchup For fans of: Snõõper, BODEGA, Talking Heads Country: Montréal, Canada Additional info: The band actually formed as a side project during the COVID 19 lockdowns when the members were unable to perform with their other bands. As a result, they started making music together that quickly evolved into their own group.
Rotown Clubcard holders can attend this concert for free (while supplies last).
