Le Guess Who? is considered one of the most progressive festivals in the world, celebrated for the inspiring way in which groundbreaking music is presented. Artists from all over the world offer new perspectives on what is possible within music.

From November 5–8, Le Guess Who? celebrates its 20th anniversary edition in Utrecht. For four days, the festival takes over the city with performances in pop venues, theaters, churches, wharf cellars, and clubs.

On Friday, November 6, the program features, among others, post-apocalyptic acid punk disco scuzzheads Tropical Fuck Storm ; the quintet goat (JP) , performing in an almost trance-like state with minimalist compositions consisting of constant repetition; throat singer and songwriter Posuposu Otani , a prominent figure in the underground music scene of Tokyo and Yokohama; أحمد [Ahmed] , whose music is characterized by heavy rhythms, repetitions, and syncopation; Khadija El Warzazia , the first woman to play Gnawa music in public in Morocco, performing alongside the multi-generational female percussion ensemble Bnat el Houariyat ; producer Loraine James , who uses IDM sounds to sketch a musical landscape that reflects her queer, Black, British reality; and Melt-Banana , with their hard, experimental, and intense mix of punk, hardcore, techno, noise, and electronica; multi-instrumentalist and producer SHABAKA , who has reformed the perception of jazz and experimental music worldwide through a practice that moves fluidly between jazz, electronic, spiritual, and diasporic traditions; AR Kane , a duo known as the founders of shoegaze and dream pop; and much more.
