Liniker de Barros Ferreira Campos, known by her stage name Liniker, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. She began her music career as part of the band Liniker e os Caramelows, formed in 2015. The band became known for their blend of soul, funk, and jazz with Brazilian rhythms and poetic lyrics in Portuguese. In 2019, Liniker released her first solo album, "Goela Abaixo," in which she conveyed her personal and political messages through a blend of musical styles. Liniker is also known for her activism and advocacy for social justice and LGBTQ+ rights in Brazil. She is openly transgender and speaks out against discrimination and violence against the LGBTQ+ community. The singer also became the first trans woman to receive a Grammy in 2022. In 2025, she again won awards, winning no fewer than three Grammys for her recently released album 'CAJU', an enchanting mix of soul, funk and jazz, interwoven with Brazilian rhythms and poetic Portuguese lyrics.
