Møster! is a Norwegian instrumental quartet formed by some of the most active musicians from the experimental rock and jazz scene. The band is led by saxophonist Kjetil Møster, who broke through in 2000 after a performance with Chick Corea. He has performed worldwide in various genres and has over 100 albums to his name. Other band members are Hans Magnus Ryan (guitarist of Motorpsycho), bassist Nikolai Hængsle (Elephant9), and drummer Kenneth Kapstad (formerly of Motorpsycho, now Spidergawd).
Møster! released five albums between 2013 and 2020 via the Norwegian label Hubro, which were well received by both the press and the public. The band has performed at major festivals in Europe, including Øyafestivalen and the Molde International Jazz Festival. Their music is strongly influenced by jazz and rock experimentation from the 1970s, with influences from Fela Kuti, Black Sabbath, and John Coltrane, among others, resulting in a unique, eclectic sound.
