AFAS Live is no longer an unfamiliar place for the British group. In 2010, 2012 and 2022 the band had already played the hall flat at the Amsterdam venue. In 2019 they added their exclusive anniversary show Madness XL, with which the fortieth anniversary of the band was celebrated. The British band invites the Netherlands to take the baggy trousers out of the closet, to take one step beyond and to take the night boat to Amsterdam for a spectacular show full of old and new classics from over 45 years of Madness legacy. As of 2025 Madness is nutty as ever. It promises to be an unprecedentedly large Madness party in the House of Fun!

16 hits in the top 10
Madness has for years been one of the most successful bands in the world. The London group is known for its unique mix of reggae, pop, punk and of course ska. The success of their latest album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est la Vie proves that the British band even after nearly five decades has not lost any relevance. Suggs and friends remain ambitious, without forgetting their own rich past. In this way they reach old and new fans worldwide with their socially critical songs full of humour. With no less than 16 hits in the British top 10, Madness is also one of the most successful bands in the world with an oeuvre full of indestructible classics. The band from Camden Town was founded in 1979 and broke through that same year with debut record One Step Beyond…, with the unforgettable hits Night Boat To Cairo, My Girl and One Step Beyond.

Baggy Trousers
From that moment the career of the group around frontman Suggs consisted solely of highlights. In the years afterwards Madness scored hit after hit and spent no less than 214 weeks in the charts. Songs like Our House, Baggy Trousers and Embarrassment grew into classics and are still heard everywhere today. Later albums such as comeback album The Liberty Of Norton Folgate (2009), Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da (2012) and their most recent album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est la Vie (2023) were well received. In the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland the record entered the charts. It is the first Madness album ever to reach the number 1 position in the British chart.
