AMSTERDAM'S FIVE-PIECE MAKES AN EXPLOSIVE MIX OF SHOEGAZE AND POSTPUNK

Marathon creates an explosive blend of shoegaze and post-punk with a strong dose of social criticism. With a sound that fuses the edge of post-punk, the atmosphere of shoegaze, and the introspection of indie, the Amsterdammers express their frustration with the ever-widening social divide.

Over the past year, the young quintet has taken their live reputation abroad, playing Lowlands and closing out 2025 with their own show in the main hall of Paradiso. After a surprise appearance on the benefit program "Out of Place" (in collaboration with HOOFS and 113), the band will return to EKKO in April for a long-awaited headline show.
